How to Make Cold Brew Coffee Smoothie Bowls

Combine breakfast and coffee in a coffee smoothie bowl!

As coffee lovers, having a cup of coffee along with whatever food you’re having for breakfast is the preferable way to enjoy the most important meal of the day.

Why not combine the two?

With our cold brew coffee smoothie bowl, you can.

Not only do you get your morning boost in a fast and easy way, but these bowls are also super customizable. You can try adding different toppings, milks and amounts of coffee so you can make it several mornings a week without ever getting bored of it.

What is cold brew coffee?

For these coffee smoothie bowls, we used cold brew coffee made with a Primula Coffee Maker

Cold brew coffee requires steeping freshly ground coffee in water for at least 12 hours. The coffee is never heated and instead, time is required to brew and extract the coffee.

(Versus iced coffee, which is just hot brewed coffee with added ice to make it cold, or hot coffee left in the fridge to cool.)

What You’ll Need to Make a Cold Brew Coffee Smoothie Bowl

Tools

Ingredients

We’ve incorporated both cold brew coffee and coffee grounds for a strong coffee flavor.

Depending on how you grind your coffee beans, the coffee grounds may not fully blend into your smoothie bowl (it’s kind of like having the seeds of berries in berry smoothies) so you can omit the coffee grounds if you prefer.

Just make your cold brew coffee extra concentrated. Instead of a recommended 1 part coffee grounds to 4 parts water, try 1 part coffee grounds to 3 parts water.

Gather all ingredients.

Step 2

Blend all ingredients in a blender.
