7 Buzzworthy Gifts for a Coffee Loving Mom

Nothing is more exciting than seeing mom’s face light up when she opens her gift on Mother’s Day. On the other hand, it is incredibly frustrating to have to return the gift that took you hours to search in stores or online.

It’s that time of year again. Are you looking for buzzworthy gifts for your coffee loving mom?

We scoured the web, so you don’t have to. There is a whole host of coffee-related gifts out there, but here are seven that stand out because of at least two of the following factors:

 1. The CoffeeBrewer by Grower’s Cup

Busy moms will love this easy to use, portable and innovative coffee product. No coffee gear required except a kettle to boil water.

The CoffeeBrewer by Grower’s Cup is one of the best coffee “inventions” in recent year. Simply, it’s brewed in a bag coffee, functioning as a combination of a pour-over coffee brewer and a French press. Take a look at this:

It has the convenience of instant coffee and the taste of specialty coffee just like coffee brewed using a pour over and French press. The first time I tried CoffeeBrewer was in Shanghai, in 2014 when I attended the tea and coffee conference. I bought a few with me on my 18-hour train journey from Shanghai to Guangzhou. It was the best coffee ever while traveling in China for eight weeks.

Quite a new product in the US, CoffeeBrewer, an award-winning product is from Denmark. Each pouch has 22 grams of 100% Arabica, Fairtrade certified, hand-roasted single estate specialty coffee. Each pouch has a pour over coffee filter, to brew:

  1. Click off cap, open pouch and add hot water (about 203 degrees Fahrenheit) and fill it to the line indicated on the pouch.
  2. Choose the strong or mild line indicator. Brew for 5-7 minutes.
  3. The coffee is ready. Each pouch yields 2 x 150 ml (5.28 fl oz) cups of coffee.

Get the Coffee Gift Box Assortment that has 5 single estate coffee from 5 different countries – Honduras, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Colombia and Brazil. This means mom gets a taste of medium or medium dark roast coffee.

Double the amount and get the 10 pcs gift box which consists of 10 CoffeeBrewers coffee from 5 different coffee farms.

We believe this is a buzzworthy gift for mom as we have tested it with four friends who have never tried CoffeeBrewer. Here are the expressions we received when they first open looked at the coffee pouch:

2. KOHIPRESS Portable French Press Coffee Maker Travel Mug

French press travel mug

You may find it hard to imagine brewing coffee in a coffee mug like the receptionist at the doctor’s office I talked to. She was drinking coffee out of her insulated coffee mug, and she brewed the coffee at home using an automatic 10-cup brewer. She explained the work she has to put in every morning. The brewing and cleaning that is required before she rushes out the door to get to work.

Busy moms will appreciate this convenient, easy to use and portable French press and insulated travel mug combo!

To use the French press travel mug, remove the plunger, add 2 tablespoons of ground coffee in the chamber, pour 195-203 degrees Fahrenheit water to the chamber and stir it with the long handle spoon (comes with the product). Let it sit for 5 minutes and insert plunger into the chamber. Your coffee is ready. Put on the lid tightly, and you’re ready to head out.

Now and then mom needs a vacation. Why not book her a trip to Ireland. Choose either a 7-day Irish Explorer tour or the 10-day ultimate small group tour of Ireland.

Dublin is only around a 7-hour flight from New York City and Washington DC, eight hours from Chicago and just over eight hours from Atlanta.

Jojo Moyes in her book, The One Plus One wrote:

Because even if the whole world was throwing rocks at you, if you had your mother at your back, you’d be okay. Some deep-rooted part of you would know you were loved. That you deserved to be loved.

Mom deserves the very best, especially on Mother’s Day. Choose one of these gifts and make mom’s day extra special.
