On the Starbucks menu year round is the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. If you can’t make it to Starbucks right now, or want to try your hand at making it at home. You can!

Check out my Mocha Cookie Crumble copycat recipe, which I also call the Oreo Frappuccino.

What is in a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino?

The Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino at Starbucks is made with Ice, Milk, Coffee Frappuccino Syrup, Whipped Cream, Frappuccino Chips, Chocolate Cookie Grind Topping. These are the ingredients listed on their website.

To make it, they blend the coffee, mocha sauce and chips with milk and ice. Then they top the Frappuccino with vanilla whipped cream, mocha drizzle and chocolate cookie crumble.

We’ll be doing something similar with our Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino copycat recipe.

For the cookie crumble, I use Oreo cookies and for the coffee, I use espresso made with a moka pot.

Tips for Making a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino

The Coffee

I used a moka pot to brew coffee.

I like using the concentrated coffee that a moka pot can brew for my coffee drink recipes, including homemade Frappuccinos. I find this the next best option other than an espresso machine to make espresso like coffee that is strong enough that you can still taste it through all the added flavors that a Frappuccino contains.

If you don’t have either an espresso machine or moka pot at home, check out our guide to making espresso without an espresso machine.

Ice

Choose between regular water based ice cubes or coffee ice cubes.

If you haven’t used coffee ice cubes before for your iced coffee or other cold coffee beverages, you need to start! It’s the solution to having diluted coffee.

And it’s as simple as freezing coffee in ice cube trays. This could even be leftover coffee from a pot you made in the morning. You could also change it up and add condensed milk or various flavored syrups.

Chocolate Sauce

I used Torani Chocolate Sauce

I like using Torani’s line of sauces for my cold and hot coffee drink recipes. They blend well with both and taste good too.

Heavy Cream

I used heavy cream to make this homemade Frappuccino creamy. However, if you’re looking for a dairy free option, you can also use plant based milks like oat milk.

Additionally, if you’re looking for ways to make your homemade Frappuccinos thicker, you can add xantham gum

Oreos

I used Oreos as the chocolate cookie to blend in the Frappuccino and aka my cookie crumble topping.

If you don’t like or don’t want to use Oreos, you can use any chocolate sandwich cookie of choice.

Toppings

I topped the Frappuccino with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. I also crushed an Oreo cookie into pieces and added that to the top, just like a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino at Starbucks.
