Have you had an iced white chocolate mocha at Starbucks before?

While I enjoy the occasional Starbucks drink, I enjoy recreating the drinks for my own Starbucks inspired creations at home.

This is another attempt to do so.

The ingredients listed on the Starbucks website for the iced white chocolate mocha are ice, milk, white chocolate mocha sauce, brewed espresso, whipped cream and vanilla syrup.

I used similar ingredients. I brewed espresso using a moka pot, then mixed in white chocolate sauce, added milk and ice. Then topped the drink with whipped cream and an extra drizzle of white chocolate sauce.

Here’s exactly how you can do the same at home.

Tips to Make an Iced White Chocolate Mocha

Espresso

I chose illy Intenso coffee beans and brewed it in a stovetop moka pot

To make espresso, you need an espresso machine.

Don’t have an espresso machine at home? Don’t worry. You can still make this coffee drink at home.

The moka pot is my usual preference for brewing coffee for my espresso based recipes. It’s one of the next best options to make concentrated, espresso like coffee if you do not have an espresso machine at home.

The other options are a French press or an Aeropress. Find out how to brew espresso without an espresso machine by using our guide.

White Chocolate Sauce

I used Torani white chocolate sauce.

I’ve tried several flavors of sauces made by Torani and each mix well with both hot and cold coffee drinks. They also double as sauces to drizzle on top of drinks and desserts too.

Milk

I used almond milk.

Feel free to use any type of milk or milk alternative.

Ice

I used water-based ice cubes.

Have you ever been frustrated with watered down iced coffee? The coffee hack to solve this problem is by using coffee ice cubes.

It’s as simple as freezing leftover coffee in ice cube trays. You have coffee ice cubes!

This also gives you some options. You can add coffee syrups or sauces to the coffee before freezing to add flavor to the ice cubes too.
