When you want dessert and coffee, why not put two in one in a delicious coffee flavored dessert?

We put together this list of 17 easy coffee desserts for you to try. Some will also pair perfectly with a cup of your favorite coffee.

1. Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

It’s time to give a classic chocolate chip cookie a coffee update.

I added dark chocolate chips for a bittersweet chocolatey taste, a little salt for a nice balance between sweet and salty and tablespoons of coffee for that flavor chocolate chip cookies have been missing all along.

See the full Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe here.

2. No Churn Coffee Ice Cream

No churn ice cream recipes are so easy to make and only require three basic ingredients – heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Once you’ve made the base, the possibilities for ice cream flavors are endless.

For coffee, I find instant coffee works best for a full flavored coffee ice cream. But I’ve also made it with cold brew coffee for a more subtle flavor.

3. Coffee Mousse

When you’re craving a light and airy dessert, or maybe something a little more thick and decadent, mousse can achieve both.

Our coffee mousse is a delicious and light, yet satisfying treat. A traditional French mousse is made with uncooked egg whites, but if you’re not into that, we also included an option without it, resulting in a creamier yet equally delicious treat.

4. Tiramisu Parfaits

When you’re craving tiramisu, make these tiramisu parfaits (aka individual sized tiramisu portions!) If you’ve made tiramisu before, you may be able to whip this up in just 15 minutes.

For those who haven’t made tiramisu before, I’ll cover the three parts of tiramisu and the steps so you can familiarize yourself with the process. Then you too can make it real quickly for an almost instant pick me up treat! In fact, did you know tiramisu apparently translates to pick me up?

5. Fudgy Coffee Brownies

While there are times when a classic brownie is called for, there are other times when adding extra chocolate or other ingredients to brownie mixes is a good idea.

The great thing about making brownies is that you need very minimal tools. You don’t even really need to use an electric mixer. So why not try making coffee brownies today? All you have to do is follow a brownie mix box instructions, then follow our steps, which adds coffee and makes it extra fudgy.

6. Coffee Panna Cotta

Panna cotta is an Italian dessert. It translates to cooked cream. You need just three basic ingredients to make it – heavy cream, sugar and gelatin. Put these ingredients over the stovetop to combine, distribute the mixture into containers and leave it in the fridge for about an hour or until it becomes firm. That’s it!

It’s so easy to make and the possibilities for flavoring it are endless. You can top it with fruit or chocolate. And for ours, we combined coffee in two ways (which we’ll go into detail below) with the heavy cream for a delicious coffee panna cotta.

7. Cappuccino Dessert Parfait

So you’ve had a cappuccino before. Now, you can also eat one in the form of our Cappuccino Coffee Dessert Parfait!

A cappuccino is an espresso based coffee drink that’s made up of 1 part espresso, 1 part steamed milk and 1 part foamed milk. I thought this ratio would make a delicious parfait.

So I replaced each layer – the espresso, steamed milk and foamed milk with a dessert counterpart that doesn’t require any baking. Plus, they all complement each other really well.

8. Coffee Buttercream Frosting

This is a versatile coffee buttercream frosting to top your favorite cake, cupcakes and other baked goods recipes. Or use this as a delicious dessert dip using cookies like Nilla Wafers or graham crackers.

Also, if you do not want caffeine in your frosting, this recipe will work well with a decaf coffee too.

9. Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches

We made a batch of our coffee chocolate chip cookies and a batch of our super simple no churn coffee ice cream, so naturally we had to put the two together. Assembling coffee ice cream sandwiches is the easiest and tastiest treat we’re eating all summer long (and actually for any time of year too!)

10. Mocha Pancakes

If you love coffee and chocolate, you need to make these mocha pancakes. While I wouldn’t consider this an every day breakfast like my coffee chia pudding or coffee smoothie bowls, it’s a delicious special morning or weekend treat. (these mocha pancakes are best served with lots of chocolate sauce and whipped cream!)

Just like a mocha coffee drink, these pancakes have chocolate (from cocoa powder and chocolate syrup), coffee (I used Nescafe instant coffee) and if you choose to, a dollop of whipped cream like you’d typically find on the drink.

11. Tiramisu Cake Recipe

With the caffeine from coffee, chocolatey flavor from cocoa powder and sometimes a small amount of booze, even just a small serving of this dessert can serve as a pick me up when you need it.

12. Coffee Milkshake

Did you know there’s a day dedicated to coffee milkshakes? It’s on July 26 and this is the coffee milkshake you should make to celebrate.

We used cold brew coffee and our favorite homemade no churn coffee ice cream to create this treat for National Coffee Milkshake Day and for any time you just feel like having a milkshake.

See the full Coffee Milkshake recipe here.

13. Coffee in a Cone

A fun and unique way to drink coffee – in a cone! The cone is not just any ordinary cone. It is coated with multiple layers of chocolate.

Plus, you can serve whatever coffee beverage in the cone, whether it is a pour-over, dripped, cold-brewed, espresso, macchiato, or flat white. It’s just way too good to pass up.

See the full Coffee in a Cone recipe here.

14. Dalgona Coffee Popsicles

I created this fun dalgona coffee popsicles recipe that you can try at home. It’s a simple recipe, using a minimal amount of ingredients which you may already have in your kitchen.

For those of you who are new to the idea of making popsicles at home, it is a lot easier than you may think. It’s actually a super easy process. It doesn’t require a specific technique. Just some good planning ahead to make time for chilling, patience and your creativity.

15. Coffee Flan

Not many desserts have their own emoji, but flan does. That’s when you know it’s a universal favorite.

Flan is a custard topped with a layer of caramel. As a universal dessert, the ingredients vary slightly by country like some are made with evaporated milk, cream cheese, coconut milk or various flavorings. And here I present my take on flan – with coffee!

See the full Coffee Flan recipe here.

16. Coffee Jelly

Coffee jelly is jello made with coffee. All you need to make it are sugar, water, coffee and gelatin. If you don’t eat gelatin, you can also replace it with agar agar, which is a vegan substitute.

You can make coffee jelly two ways – with instant coffee or brewed coffee. You also have options when it comes to how you’ll serve and eat it. After cutting the jelly into cubes, just eat the cubes on its own. I’ve also provided ideas for how to make it into a drink.

17. Affogato

If you like both coffee and ice cream, you’re pretty much already a fan of affogato. An affogato is another Italian coffee drink that you need to try today.

The word affogato is Italian for drowned. The affogato coffee drink was named affogato because it consists of a scoop of vanilla gelato ‘drowned’ in a shot of espresso. That’s it!
