If you’re like me and have seen random drinks around social media and wanted to have it right at that moment, know that you can make it at home!

The Cookies and Cream Cold Brew coffee is one that I’ll show you how to make now.

I always have a mason jar of cold brew coffee stored in the refrigerator. It takes around 15 hours to make (steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in water), so having this on hand is great for making drinks like this whenever you feel like it.

Tips for Making Cookies and Cream Cold Brew

Cold Brew Coffee

I used Stumptown French Roast coffee beans and made cold brew coffee in a French press.

Read my guide for 3 easy ways to make cold brew coffee. Here’s how to make it with the French press:

  1. Grind coffee beans of choice coarsely.
  2. Place coarsely ground coffee in a French press.
  3. Pour water. I use a 3 to 1 ratio. About 3-4 cups of water to 1 cup of coffee beans.
  4. Stir.
  5. Put the French press cover on top, but do not press the plunger down just yet. Set aside for 15 hours.
  6. Press plunger down, straining the coffee grounds. Then store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.

Note that you do not need to use a cold brew specific coffee bean.

You can try using your favorite coffee beans and experiment with which ones work best when brewing it this way. I find Stumptown’s French Roast is a really good one.

Vanilla Syrup

I used Monin Vanilla Syrup.

Use a storebought vanilla syrup too, or you can also make a vanilla simple syrup at home very easily. All you need is water, granulated sugar and vanilla extract (replace this with another flavor for a different simple syrup flavor.)

Simply place granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Once dissolved, turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Set aside to cool then store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.

Oat Milk

I used oat milk to make a dairy free cold foam.

However, the best milk I’ve tried using for making cold foam at home is skim milk. This tends to hold well. But if you want to make a dairy free version, oat milk has worked for me.

Ice

While I used regular ice cubes, you can also use coffee ice cubes

This is especially helpful during the summer when drinks melt quickly. When using coffee ice cubes and they melt, you just get more coffee instead of watered down coffee.

You can also try adding flavors like vanilla syrup or caramel syrup to the cubes before freezing for added flavor.

White Chocolate Sauce

I used Torani White Chocolate Sauce

I use Torani sauces for most of my coffee drink recipes as they mix well with hot and cold coffee and taste great too.

Mocha Flavor

I used cocoa powder for the mocha flavor, but you can also use Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce

I just decided to use cocoa powder for less sugar, since the white chocolate sauce already has sugar.

Toppings

I used a Partake Double Chocolate cookie.

Choose your favorite chocolate cookie of choice to top this Cookies and Cream Cold Brew. You could use something like Oreo cookies, which is similar to the mocha cookie crumble Starbucks has.

Or I went for a vegan and gluten free option from Partake Foods.
