I’ve created a few coffee recipes to mimic my favorite desserts and other sweet treats like candy bars. (Have you made my tiramisu latte yet?!)

So I figured, why not try making a coffee drink inspired by a classic all time favorite, the chocolate chip cookie?

I blended an actual full chocolate chip cookie with milk, coffee and chocolate sauce. And this was the result.

It’s like a chocolate chip cookie in drink form. (I also think this would be great, and maybe even better as a milkshake as I note below.)

Here’s how to make it.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Coffee Ingredients

Tips for Making Chocolate Chip Cookie Coffee

The Coffee

This is just a coffee recipe, so feel free to brew coffee any way you want. (Versus if this were a latte, you’d need to brew espresso as lattes are espresso based coffee drinks.)

This time, I used my French press. If you choose to use a French press too, check out our guide to the best coffee to use for French press.

Can’t decide which method to use? Use a Keurig for the fastest result or an automatic pour over coffee maker, moka pot, simple coffee dripper or Chemex. Whichever method you choose, use your favorite coffee beans.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I used homemade chocolate chip cookies.

If you’re looking for a chocolate chip cookie recipe, check out our coffee chocolate chip cookies. You can leave out the coffee ingredient to make a regular batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Alternatively, you can use store bought chocolate chip cookies, like a classic Chips Ahoy

You only need one cookie for this chocolate chip cookie coffee, but I used an additional one to garnish the coffee and for the rim. This is optional.

Chocolate Sauce

I used Torani chocolate sauce.

This is the sauce I use for most of my coffee recipes that require a chocolate flavor. It mixes well with hot or cold coffee with a delicious dark chocolate taste.

Whipped Cream

I used store bought whipped cream, but you can also make your own.

Using heavy cream, place about ½ cup into a bowl and use a mixer on medium high speed until stiff peaks form. Add a little vanilla extract or vanilla syrup for a slight sweetness.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Coffee Milkshake

You can easily turn this recipe into a milkshake and to be honest, I think this coffee would taste even better with a scoop or two of ice cream. We’ll call it a chocolate chip cookie coffee milkshake!
