Delonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super-Automatic Espresso/Coffee Machine ( available in the US)
This machine grinds the beans and brews your espresso immediately. You get to choose between single or double espresso, cappuccinos and lattes with this machine. There is a grind setting where you can choose the fineness of the coffee. You don’t have to wait in between preparing espresso and cappuccino.
It even comes with a cup warmer and has an instant reheat function that guarantees hot coffee every time you want it. The Delonghi ESAM3300 coffee container, drip tray and water tank are removable making it an easy machine to clean.
This efficient machine is sold at Amazon.com for $697 and at Delonghi at $799.95.
Cuisinart DGB-650 Grind and Brew 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker
If you are looking for a simple bean to cup machine without a milk frother that is cheaper, this may be the one for you. It costs only $129 at Amazon and Cuisinart’s website.
The Cuisinart coffee maker grinds your coffee beans automatically right before brewing. The coffee machine comes with a stainless steel carafe that keeps the coffee fresh and hot for hours. It is easy to use and not as intimidating as to the sophisticated and higher priced Delonghi bean to cup machine.
It brews up to 10 cups at one time. It has 1 to 4-cup setting if you prefer to make smaller batches of coffee. Cuisinart has a 3-year limited warranty for this coffee machine.
Although the Cuisinart DGB-650 Grind and Brew is a one-touch bean to cup machine, it will never make you a cup of espresso or cappuccino. If you’re looking for a bean to cup machine that makes espresso you would have to get the more expensive Delonghi machines.
These are by no means the only machines in the bean and cup category. We would go for the Delonghi ESM3300 if money was not an issue.
