We’ll combine espresso, frothed almond milk and toppings of choice to make this delicious almond milk latte.

Have I mentioned, it’s so quick and easy to make?

Tips for Making an Almond Milk Latte

Espresso

For a coffee drink to be called a latte, there needs to be espresso.

(Check out our guide to the most popular coffee drinks if you’re curious about the different types of coffee drinks.)

To make espresso at home, I use a moka pot. This is what I recommend using if you don’t have an espresso machine at home. The moka pot brews the most concentrated, espresso like coffee without an espresso machine.

Almond Milk

I used storebought Almond Milk

Feel free to use your favorite almond milk. You can also use vanilla flavored almond milk if you prefer too. Or if you want, you can make your own almond milk at home and use that. (I have yet to make almond milk at home!)

I find almond milk froths well in a milk frother. You can also purchase Barista Blend Almond Milk, which is formulated especially for baristas (including at home baristas!) to froth just like regular milk.

Toppings

I topped my almond milk latte with foamed milk and sprinkled a little cocoa powder on top.

Here are some other ideas you can use to top your almond milk latte:

Sweeteners

I did not add any sweeteners to my almond milk latte, but you can experiment with different flavors if you prefer.

Here are some ideas:

If you don’t have a milk frother, you can also heat almond milk in the microwave for a few seconds and shake it in a mason jar vigorously until froth forms.

Or you can put almond milk in a saucepan over low heat on the stovetop and whisk it vigorously until froth forms.

Step 3

Pour espresso and frothed almond milk in a mug.

Step 4

Top with frothed milk and sprinkle cocoa powder on top.
